Under 18 Supervised
Juniors (17 and under) can use the Centre if directly supervised by a bouldering competent adult. To attempt the supervisor assessment you must have had an Instructed session with us OR have climbed independently in an indoor climbing centre a minimum of four times. The assessment takes up to 15 minutes and include a variety of questions about bouldering safety, appropriate warming up, injury prevention, spotting and your responsibilities as a supervisor.
Experienced climbers aged 14-17 can complete an assessment to climb independently but cannot supervise others until aged 18.
If you are new or are unsure if you have sufficient experience and would like to learn how to become a bouldering supervisor we recommend booking an instructed session. To book one:
Step 2: Parent and Junior to watch our Induction Video below:
Step 3: Parent to complete the Online Registration Form for themselves and the Junior.
Step 4: Printed copies will be provided onsite to complete with a team member at reception. You will find the Bouldering Supervisor questions here that you will be asked. You will only be allowed to supervise if you can answer these questions without help from a staff member.
Step 5: Come on down and get climbing! Please note that you will have to pass the Supervisory Assessment before you are allowed to climb. We recommend you turn up 15mins before your session begins and speak to a member of staff.
